You heard what I said: The Anti-Groupies are live and better than ever

It’s a chore to say that the Anti-Groupies don’t bring their high energy the minute they hit the stage.
Starting off with their single “Social Battery,” they immediately grasp their audience’s attention as soon as Kyla Foster’s sticks meet her drums.
In an instant, there’s a rush of adrenaline that floods the body as an audience member at DiPiazza’s on Saturday.
“If you don’t know the song, it’s probably an original,” said Cassidy Fleeman, although I don’t think this will be the case for very long.
Fleeman is the lead singer for the Anti-groupies, and with her alluring vocals and Isabella Broersma’s insane licks, there is no way that this band will stay small forever.
The introduction to their songs are instantly recognizable, especially in their song “Voicemail” that has a catchy riff right before Fleeman begins using her deep, rock like vocals.
It is obvious how comfortable the band is with one another on stage, especially when seeing Sydney Moore, the band’s bass player, and Broersma move together in unison through their dancing and playing.
Moore is an amazing bassist with skills that remain unmatched as she kills every beat, especially when she adds in her unique slaps that creates a percussive yet needed sound in their music.
Another small yet noticeable addition is Kyla Foster’s backup vocals throughout their performance, creating impactful harmonies with Fleeman and adding layers to both their originals and cover songs.
Speaking of cover songs, the band performed one of Paramore’s biggest hits, “Misery Business,” and the crowd loved every second of it.
Hayley WIlliam’s influence on their music is notable, especially in the way that Cassidy Fleeman is able to recreate Willliam’s spunk and attitude, yet making sure to let her personality shine through.
The band has also created a unique fashion environment that allows them to express themselves through each of their own personal styles both on and off the stage.
From Moore’s patterned tights, to Broersma’s lace top, all of their outfits show off their personality, ultimately revealing the punk rock powerhouse that they hold.
The Anti-Groupies are the next all girl rock band that has the talent and influence to inspire listeners around the world, and to watch them live is a gift like no other.
Catch their next two performances on Nov. 21 at the Huntington Beach street fair, or at DiPiazzas once again on Nov. 24.
